
CHOCOLATE SPREAD

The nutty notes of the Hacienda Las Trincheras chocolate make it a popular choice for this recipe, but you could try experimenting with other chocolates until you find your particular favourite.

Ingredients
45g granulated sugar
150ml water
200g dark chocolate, roughly chopped. Suggestion, Venezuelan Las Trincheras 72

Method
- Put the sugar and water in a saucepan over a low heat and stir until the sugar has dissolved.
- Raise the heat slightly and bring to the boil.
- Stir in the chocolate until just melted and remove from the heat.
- Pour into a sterilized jar and seal. Once opened, keep in the fridge and consume within 2 weeks.
