
VALENTINE’S HOT CHOCOLATE

This is Hot Chocolate at its most decadent.
You’ll find it half way to an after dinner cocktail, not far from being your new favourite dessert.

Ingredients
130g of Los Llanos 70% dark chocolate chef’s drops
70g raw cane sugar
300 ml hot water
150 ml Black Cow Vodka
Optional some chocolate to grate over the top
Alternatively reduce the sugar to 30g and use 90g of 100% dark cacao, the ones with fruity notes like Chulucanas or Sambirano work particularly well

6 small cups or glasses

Method
– Roughly chop the cacao or chocolate into a saucepan and add freshly boiled water and sugar.
– On a medium heat, bring it back so it is just on the point of boiling, whisking to get a froth.
– Remove from the heat and pour in the vodka, whisking briefly.
– Pour into your cups, dust with grated chocolate, and serve
